Heather was born and raised in Michigan鈥檚 Upper Peninsula. She earned degrees in Music Education and Music Performance, which provided opportunities to perform with orchestras, chamber groups and choirs around the world.  Heather pursued a career in orchestra management with the Portland Symphony Orchestra before transitioning to elementary music education, where she taught for over 10 years. She continues to perform regularly with her woodwind quintet and in pit orchestras for theater productions across Maine.  Heather resides in Portland with her family.
