³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ students were recently recognized with the Outstanding Future Professional Awards

Four ³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ students recently received the Outstanding Future Professional Award from the Maine Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (MAHPERD).

Carly Perreault (AES, ’20), Katie Beaudoin (AES, ’20), Megan DeMorris (HWOS, ’20), and Jocelyn Chaput (AES, ’20) were recently honored at MAHPERD’s annual banquet held at the Samoset Resort in Rockport, Maine. All of the students have either Coaching or Sport and Recreation Management as their minor. DeMorris has been chosen to represent Maine at the Society of Health and Physical Educators (SHAPE) America national convention in Salt lake City, Utah in April.

Katie Hawke, M.S., associate clinical professor in the Department of Exercise and Sport Performance, and Amy Vlachos, assistant chair of the Business Department, showed their support by attending the event.

Students considered for the award must have a minimum grade point average of 3.00, have other academic achievements, be involved in University organizations, and have made contributions to their major department and to their community.
