³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ and Portland Health Center team up to fight measles

In light of the national measles outbreak, ³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ partnered with the Portland Community Health Center to provide a free measles vaccine clinic for members of the community from 1–7 p.m. on Monday, March 9.

Students and clinical faculty from ³ÉÈËÖ±²¥'s College of Pharmacy, including Kenneth McCall, Pharm.D., associate professor, administered the vaccine. The event caught the attention of local media and was featured on WGME.

Dora Anne Mills, M.D., M.P.H., F.A.A.P., vice president for Clinical Affairs, attended the clinic and provided an interview for the news station. She commented that individuals who are 25 to 58 years old may be under-immunized, and that getting vaccinated is the best way to minimize the impact of the disease in the state.
