Occupational Therapy students present at Adaptive Occupation Expo

成人直播鈥檚 Department of Occupational Therapy (OT) proudly hosted an Adaptive Occupation Expo on May 6, 2015 in Finley Gymnasium.

During the event, the OT class of 2016 presented creative adaptive games, toys and projects to the OT community. This served as an opportunity for students to make a meaningful impact through the profession.

Participating student demonstrations included:

  • Luke Dlouhy: Created an adapted Bopper Switch for a client in need of a modified television remote
  • Brittany Grip: Demonstrated numerous educational strategies with the use of a light box
  • Danielle LaVere: Demonstrated the use of grips on various length styluses for use with iPad handwriting apps
  • Tara Lonneman and Rachel Andres: Presented a versatile sensory swing
  • Lauren Zito: Created sensory pockets for use as a binder insert, weighted lap table and pocket
  • Marissa Stevens: Adapted characters from the book 鈥淏rown Bear, Brown Bear鈥 for visual impairments
