School of Social Work faculty members to present at national conferences this October

Faculty members from ³ÉÈËÖ±²¥â€™s School of Social Work are presenting a number of scholarly papers at national conferences this month:

  • Shelley Cohen Konrad, Ph.D., LCSW, FNAP, Lori Power, Ed.D., and Kris Hall, M.F.A. are presenting at the Society for Social Work Leadership in Health Care Ethics Conference in Waterville, Maine on October 17. Their paper is titled, "Applied Arts and Social Justice: Empowering Voices, Empowering Choices."
  • Cyndi Amato, M.S.W., Lori Power, Ed.D., and Olga LaPlante M.A. are presenting their paper, "The Evolution of Online Student Orientation: Aspirations, Innovations, and Lessons Learned." at the Annual Online Learning Consortium International Conference held from October 29 - 31 in Orlando, Florida. Wanda Anderson, LCSW, is also presenting her paper, "Innovative Approaches to Relationship Building in Online Field Instruction Seminars." at this conference.

The following School of Social Work faculty members will be presenting at the Council on Social Work Education’s 60th Annual Program Meeting in Tampa, Florida on October 23 -25: 

  • Danielle Wozniak, M.S.W., Ph.D., Kerry Dunn, M.S.W., J.D., Ph.D., and David Prichard, Ph.D., will present, "Something FISH_E: Creating a Model of Flipped, Integrated, Shared, and Hybrid Learning Experiences."
  • Danielle Wozniak, M.S.W., Ph.D., and Shelley Cohen Konrad, Ph.D., LCSW, FNAP will present, "Addressing Scarcity and Sowing Seeds: Rural Interprofessional Clinical Expansion in the RICE Project."
  • Shelley Cohen Konrad, Ph.D., Jaysharee Nimmagadda, Ph.D., M.S.W., B.A., chair of the MSW program at Rhode Island College, Barbara Jones, Ph.D., associate professor in the School of Social Work at the University of Texas and Maureen Rubin, Ph.D., assistant professor in the School of Social Work at the University of Nevada are presenting, "Nuts and Bolts to Implement and Evaluate Sustainable Interprofessional Education: Faculty Development Institute (FDI)."
  • Cyndi Amato, M.S.W., and Thomas Chalmers McLaughlin, Ph.D. are presenting, "Moving at the Speed of Sound – Lessons Learned from 5 Years of Offering an Online MSW."
