Health, Wellness and Occupational Studies students participate in distance learning
Health, Wellness and Occupational Studies (HWOS) students in Biddeford and Morocco were involved in distance learning during a November class with Elizabeth Francis-Connolly, Ph.D., OTR, FAOTA, dean of Westbrook College of Health Professions, and Said Nafai, M.S., OTR/L, CLT, adjunct professor of Occupational Science .
Francis-Connolly welcomed the group to the community of scholars in Occupational Science during a segment of the HWOS 405 course: Introduction to Occupational Science. Nafai presented on service learning and efforts to establish the Occupational Therapy profession in Morocco.
HWOS students studying in Morocco joined the class through Fuze technology. The HWOS 405 course was created in 2013 by Clinical Professor Kathryn Loukas, OTD, M.S., OTR/L, FAOTA.
