Marilyn R. Gugliucci, Ph.D. is co-author on the two Learning by Living Research Projects and co-presented with Shannon O'Connell, MS II and Matthew Sharbaugh, MS II. She is also the home institution sponsor for Jennifer Gibson-Chambers, MS II and Sarah Velton, MS II for their AFAR Fellowship. Four 成人直播COM Students presented their research at the 2011 American Geriatrics Society (AGS) Annual Meeting in National Harbor, MD. Shannon O鈥機onnell, MS II was an invited presenter at the AGS International Poster Session and at the AGS Presidential Poster Session, which is an adjudicated session. She presented her research entitled: "Learning by Living at Home: Ethnographic Case Specific Caregiver Research" at both poster sessions. Jennifer Gibson-Chambers MS II;, Sarah Velten, MS II; and Matthew Sharbaugh, MS II presented their research in the General Poster Session and the American Federation for Aging Research (AFAR)/J.A. Hartford Foundation Invitational Poster Session for medical students and residents. Jennifer鈥檚 research is entitled: "Is Delirium in the Post-Anesthetic Recovery Room (PACU) Associated with Perioperative Opiod Dose?" She conducted this research at Johns Hopkins Medical Center as an AFAR Fellow during the summer of 2010. Sarah presented a poster entitled: "Interventions to Improve Prescribing at the End of Life: A Systematic Review." Sarah conducted her research at University of Massachusetts Medical School also as an AFAR Fellow during the 2010 summer. Matthew presented his research entitled: "Learning by Living: Medical Student Lives the Life of an Elder Nursing Home Resident," after living in the Chelsea Soldiers Nursing Home, last summer. All abstracts were accepted through a juried process.
